Casio watch c/o The Watch Hut, Nike Stefan-Janoskis, New Balance 420s, New Look loafers, Zara slip dress and posters from a uni sale

So, I'm at uni at the moment and I went shopping. These are some of the things I bought.

As you can see, I've become very attracted to trainers, particularly because being in Southampton, I walk pretty much everyday to and from lectures on different campuses so comfort is a must. I've had my eye on the Janoskis for a long time and when I saw them in my size in stock on Flatspot, I couldn't just leave there now, could I? As for the New Balances, I never would have seen myself as a New Balance kinda gal but I tried them on in Office during a 20% off student event and they were what my feet had been waiting for all their lives. So comfy and they look great with just about anything. The loafers were a necessary buy to fill the burgundy penny loafer shaped hole in my life seeing as my vintage ones were falling apart after wearing them on a night out a few times (never again). The Zara dress was a complete impulse buy, I have no excuse for it except that it was quite a bargain and is so beautiful (JUST LOOK AT DAT BACK DETAIL). As I already mentioned, I'm currently at university and never truly felt at home until I bought these posters at a poster sale during my first week here. As a French student, I thought it was very fitting that I got a couple of old French posters and well as for Audrey, I just couldn't turn down that pretty pretty face.

The watch was kindly sent to me by The Watch Hut and is a very welcome addition to my watch collection. I've been wearing it almost every day to lectures, although it hasn't meant that I've been on time for every lecture, woops.

Hope you all are doing well and I apologise for lack of outfits, I'm struggling to find a way to take photos in Southampton as I have no one to help me take them wah. In the meantime, follow me on Instagram as I do post some selfie outfits on there from time to time.

Until next time amigos,

Topshop dress, my mum's boots, Casio watch, charity shop necklace, Forever21 midi ring

Yo yo,

This is an outfit from a day out in Portobello Market with my sister this weekend. I've had this dress for ages but only rediscovered it the other day when I was having a mass wardrobe clearout (love it when that happens). I actually bought the ring later on in the day and had to put it on straight away as I loved the antlers which made a change to the plain midi rings that I normally wear. It was such a gorgeous day for shopping and afterwards, we went for happy hour in our fave cocktail bar and then dinner in Cafe Rouge.

Also, I'm in the process of growing out my full fringe that I only had for a few weeks before it really started to bug me. When I got my hair cut, I did have an Alexa Chung kinda fringe in mind but my hairdresser suggested cutting a full fringe and letting it grow out which is exactly what I'm doing and I am quite happy with the way it's going at the mo. I do love a full fringe, but I hate the maintenance that comes with it, I don't know how all you full fringed gals do it!

Finally, I've been a fan of AlunaGeorge for a while now so I was so excited for their debut album, Body Music, to come out at the end of July especially after seeing them live in June. One of my favourite tracks from the record is Body Music so I think you should all give it a listen and thank me later ;)

I could only find a live version on youtube but you get the idea.

Gestuz dress, New Look clutch, Zara shoes

FINALLY A PROM POST (prom was over a month ago, woops).
I had the best time at prom. It was such a lovely evening, we started off with photos and champagne at my friend's house and then got a cab to the Hotel Russell on Russell Square which was beautifully decorated and was the perfect setting for photos yay. We had a champagne reception and photos with the photographer, then moved onto dinner and finally danced the night away until we all had to leave wah.

Now onto the dress. I actually bought this dress from the Selfridges Christmas sale on new years day when I went to see Singin' In The Rain with my sister. It's by a brand called Gestuz and was reduced from £280 to £40 (I KNOW). It's 100% silk and moves so beautifully, my favourite part of the dress has got to be the back. It's quite simple but I'm a complete sucker for any kind of back detail and skinny cami straps (as mentioned in my last post) have become my new obsession so I had to get it despite the fact that it was one size too big. But after a trip to the dry cleaners to get it altered, it fit like a glove and I just wanna wear it all over again. I did my own hair and makeup too which, not gonna lie, I was quite proud of seeing as I'm normally quite a retard when it comes to hair and beauty related tasks. I used an image I found on pinterest to do my hair (link here) and just did quite a simple make up look with a pinky-coral lipstick to finish it off.

These are a random mix of the photographer's photos and my own photos (both digital and disposable) so I apologise for the lack of 'proper' full outfit photos of my dress but hey, (I have no excuse).

Until next time amigos,

ASOS dress and Primark sandals

Hey hey,

I just came back from a manic two weeks, the first of which was spent in Spain with my three besties and then after a day and a half of rest and repacking at home, it was off to Latitude I went. I snapped this outfit just before I left for Spain on a day out shopping in London when it was lovely and warm (still is atm!) My favourite part about the dress has to be the back as I'm a sucker for any sort of back detailing, especially if it involves cami straps like on this dress. OH YEAH and I got a fringe. Which, in hindsight, was a terrible idea to get one in the summer as the weather starts to warm up but with time, it is growing on me (slowly).

I have sooooo many posts I need to write and upload (Marrakech, prom, Spain, Latitude and a few random outfit posts ahhhh!) but I'm not jetting off again until the end of August so I will have loads of time to catch up on blogging.

Now as always, I'll end with a song that I've been loving and after seeing Rhye in the woods at Latitude, I've rediscovered my love for this song - Open. The strings intro is perfection and Mike's voice is soooo beautiful it hurts:

Until next time kids,

H&M jumper, Topshop skirt, Primark brogues, Mulberry Bayswater bag

Hi all, Aimee here, remember me?
I'll admit, my lack of posting has made my post writing skills pretty much non-existent and I seem to have forgotten how to put together a decent post woopsy. Also, I had my English lit exam yesterday (i.e. an intense 2 hours and 45 minutes of pure torture) and after that, I might just break down in tears if I have to write another essay about Rapture, Tess of the d'Urbervilles or The Great Gatsby. As of today, I have done 2 out of 5 exams and my last exam is on the 20th of June (also my sister's birthday!) and then on the 21st, I'm going to Marrakech with my cousins! I am beyond excited about this trip and if any of you guys have any recommendations on what to do/where to go, it would be very much appreciated!

Now I'm going to go back to revising procrastinating while listening to an album that I've had on repeat since its release last week, Mount Kimbie's Cold Spring Fault Less Youth and here is one of my favourite tracks from the record, Break Well so go and have a listen if you're man enough (lol):

Dress and bag from HK, Topshop Adonis boots, charity shop necklace, Miss Selfridge earrings

Bonjour mes amis!

Yesterday, I went to a CSM exhibition with Melissa (who just started a new blog, link here!) as she got a place on the foundation course next year (woo!!!!). We grabbed some food after but not before taking some outfit photos near the campus as I haven't posted an outfit since February :o (I know, I'm terrible at this 'regular blogging thing'). I normally love to incorporate some colour in my outfits but at the moment, I'm preferring the simplicity of an all black outfit with the exception of some gold accessories and a dark stained lip.

Topshop leather jacket and high-waisted jeans, H&M jumper, UO hat, vintage bag and boots from ebay

Say whaaaat, an outfit post???? So so sorry about my long absence (about 3 months to be exact :o), I was too preoccupied with exams and uni applications but I'm back with an outfit yay.

Anyhow, today, Melissa and I went to The Breakfast Club for brunch and did some shopping in Oxford St for a long-awaited catch up and pancake action. Since my last post, I have acquired quite a few new additions to my ever expanding wardrobe such as these wonder jeans from Topshop. For so long, I have been lusting over the Cheap Monday Second Skin high-waisted jeans but due to the £50 price tag, I refrained from splashing out and waited for a high street copy to come out which, to my delight, came in the form of the Topshop high-waisted Jamie jeans. I was already a devotee of the Jamie jeans because of the super tight fit and amazing quality of the denim so when a super high waisted pair came out, of course I snapped them up in a lovely indigo colour.

Until next time homies

Vintage coat, suede skirt and bag, Primark t-shirt, UO hat, my mum's boots

On Saturday, my sister and I went to the Little Black Jacket Exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery which had so many stunning photos, taken by Karl Lagerfeld himself, of various celebrities with their own take on the infamous Little Black Jacket. The gallery was beautiful and surprisingly quiet when we went. I took some sneaky photos of my favourite images on instagram so check them out above! My favourite from the exhibition had to be of Clemenece Poesy who looked so beautiful and I loved the way she wore the jacket with the headdress. If you have any time to spare during the weekends, I strongly advise you all to visit this exhibition! It's free and totally worth the visit!

Anyhow, I bought this suede skirt from Beyond Retro in Brick Lane a couple of weeks ago and the gorgeous dark green colour was what initially drew me to the skirt. It was a perfect fit and totally reminds me of Alexa Chung, which isn't a bad thing at all. I paired that with this gem of a t-shirt from Primark men's section, one of my favourite winter coats from Portobello (which I got for £4 if I remember correctly!) and a black floppy hat to top it all off.

Now I'm off to listen to Jake Bugg whose new album is incredible and attempt to make a start on my English coursework. I will leave you with one of my favourite tracks from the album, Taste It:

Vintage denim jacket and shirt, H&M jumper, Topshop shorts, my mum's boots, charity shop bag and necklace, watch c/o Daniel Wellington

Last Sunday, I went to Brick Lane with Melissa to go to the AA factory pop up store and to browse the vintage shops too. I didn't get anything from AA unfortunately but I did find a lovely green suede skirt from Beyond Retro which you will no doubt see in a future post. We stopped for lunch from one of the many food stalls at Brick Lane on Sundays, I had pad thai and Melissa had a falafel wrap, mmmmm. Here are some instagram photos from the day taken by me (you can follow me here!) and Melissa
instagram

I recently got sent this watch from Daniel Wellington and it has become my everyday school watch. I love the rose gold watch face and the aged looking brown leather strap. I'm one of those people who feel lost when they don't wear a watch and I have been wearing my Armani and Casio one to death so it's nice to have another one to add to my collection.

Also, you guys can get 15% off any of the watches on the website (link here) by using this code: peardrops
