The Maccabees @ Alexandra Palace

So as I've been writing for a while now, Melissa and I went to see The Maccabees at Alexandra Palace on Friday night. We arrived at 1 ish and waited around in the gale force winds and rain for about five hours (now that is dedication.) before finally being let into the amazing venue. It was massive inside and I had no idea about the scale of the place as I had never been before but it was a perfect venue for the best gig I've been to so far, that is until I see The Strokes live one day...someday heh heh. The setlist was perfect which even included Toothpaste Kisses and Latchmere (!) as well as some from Given to the Wild and one of my favourite songs from the night was Forever I've Known. It was such a great moment when Orlando seemed genuinely overwhelmed by the sheer amount of people and also when they played Glimmer with three disco balls glimmering (no pun intended) and lighting up the room. Despite getting bruised and rammed against the barrier, it was so worth the long wait to be right at the front. At the moment, I am suffering from severe post-gig depression but here are some photos that got developed today that I took at the gig to keep me going until I see them next (for I must see them again).

On another note, I also developed some other photos from my camera so I'll probably do a post on those some time soon.

Until next time amigos,
